Our research at AIIA Lab, led by Prof. Amir H. Gandomi, a globally recognized expert in machine learning, evolutionary computation, and big data analytics, focuses on solving complex real-world challenges through cutting-edge AI and data-driven innovations. At AIIA Lab, we work on cutting-edge projects that bridge academic research and real-world applications. Our initiatives span areas such as machine learning, optimization, natural language processing, and cybersecurity. One of our flagship efforts is the DECRA Project, which develops new tools and methods to help computers learn from data when conditions change over time, delivering open-source software and fostering international collaboration in AI. AIIA Lab operates under the supervision of Professor Amir H. Gandomi, a globally recognized researcher in machine learning, evolutionary computation, and big data analytics. Prof. Gandomi, an ARC DECRA Fellow and Professor of Data Science at UTS, has published over 450 journal papers and 14 books, has been named a Highly Cited Researcher for six consecutive years, and has received numerous prestigious awards, including the 2025 Sigma Xi Young Investigator Award.
